Delivery and Reception Station
How The Delivery Station Operates
The TYREX delivery station consists of a CONSOLE decontamination station with 2 USB ports, a printer and a CD burner. It performs a complete scan of the data presented as input, using several threat detection solutions, enabling data to be transferred in a highly secure way, so that it can be delivered under the best possible security conditions.
- Delivery on blank media (non-rewritable CD/DVD-ROMs, empty USB storage media)
- Detailed delivery reports (with SHA256, company logo, engine information and updates) Paper printout of delivery and scan reports
- Paper printout of delivery and scan reports
Workstation Protect Agent
For an additional level of security, the cryptographic key used by the system to authenticate the device can be tailored by the Information Systems Manager. No third party can thus claim that an infected key is clean.
The Workstation Protect Agent is optional and offers an additional layer of security. It can be deployed in multiple environments and can prevent unauthorised access to viruses or malware in your sensitive systems.
- Available in online or offline mode
- Windows & Linux compatible
How The Workstation Protect Agent Operates
The WKSP agent is a software agent installed on workstations and industrial workstations that verifies that any removable media has been scanned and certified by a TYREX station, and will block access to its contents if this is not the case. The optional Workstation Protect agent provides an additional level of security. It can be deployed in multiple environments and can block intrusions into your sensitive systems and the spread of viruses or malware.
Tyrex Decontamination Stations: Advanced USB Malware Removal
Tyrex decontamination stations are engineered as powerful USB malware removal tools, operating as standalone hardware appliances to scan, clean, and certify removable media before it poses a risk. These "white stations" or "sheep dip stations" provide a critical checkpoint, subjecting every USB drive to a rigorous inspection process within an isolated environment.
How Tyrex Stations Eradicate USB Malware:
The core of Tyrex's effectiveness lies in its multi-layered scanning and threat neutralisation capabilities:
Multi-Engine Analysis
Each Tyrex station employs up to five distinct anti-virus engines and two anti-malware/heuristic engines operating simultaneously. This approach significantly increases the detection rate for both known and unknown threats, including advanced persistent threats (APTs) and zero-day malware, as different engines possess unique detection strengths.
Hardware-Level Threat Detection
Tyrex solutions, in partnership with specialised technologies like Seclab, can also address threats at the electronic and software layers of USB devices, including challenging firmware attacks like BadUSB.
Threat Neutralisation
Upon detection of malicious files, the Tyrex station can be configured to neutralise the threat by cleaning the infected files, quarantining them, or performing a military-grade wipe of the USB drive’s contents. This ensures that only sanitised data or devices proceed.
Secure Transfer and Usage
Once a device is scanned and certified clean, its files can be securely transferred, or the device itself can be safely used within the protected network environment.
This entire process occurs on a hardened operating system (TYRANOS) within the Tyrex appliance, physically isolated from your network, preventing any cross-contamination.
Key Advantages of Tyrex Hardware-Based USB Malware Removal
Choosing Tyrex's dedicated hardware for USB drive virus removal offers clear benefits over software-only solutions. It provides an isolated scanning environment with hardware-enforced security to block malware. Superior threat detection comes from multiple anti-virus engines, outperforming single AV solutions. Tyrex stations support offline use for air-gapped networks or online connectivity (wired, Wi-Fi, 4G/5G) for updates and reporting. A centralised console enables monitoring, policy setup, auditing (with SIEM/SOC integration), and updates. Its simple "scan and go" interface suits all users, no IT skills required.
Fortify Your Defences Against USB-Borne Threats
Tyrex solutions provide more than just USB virus removal; they offer a comprehensive decontamination process that secures your organisation's digital and physical assets from the ever-present threat of malware introduced via removable media. By integrating Tyrex's advanced USB malware removal tools into your security infrastructure, you establish a critical control point, ensuring that all portable media is clean before it enters your sensitive environments, thereby protecting critical data, maintaining operational continuity, and upholding security mandates.
